Zamara has become one of our herd favorites. She is such an easy going, relaxed doe that knows how to do her job well. She comes in and milks well every milking, fills up on show day with no fuss, and kids easily. What more could you ask for in a doe! Zamara easily has the best udder in the herd. She has a tremendous area of udder attachment, great width to both rear and fore attachments, and tops it off with beautiful teat placement. She also shows a lot of strength in General appearance with extremely correct feet & legs - especially in set and angulation to rear leg.

2020: Zamara really matured well this year. With only a limited number of shows this year, she really showed off. We attended 11 total rings and she was Best of Breed in 6 of them and Best In Show in 5 of them. We plan to repeat this Accolade breeding in the hopes that she gives us a doe kid this year.

2021: Zamara filled our order this year with an AI doe kid out of Accolade. We are really excited about this doeling - especially after we kept her full brother, Fritz, and watched as he grew up. Not only this but Zamara seemed to get even better. She finished the year with a #4000+ lactation, appraised 92 EEEE and excelled in the showring. Shown 16x she was 15x Best of Breed, 4x Best Doe In Show, and 9x Best Udder in Show. But most excitingly, she was 2nd/2nd udder at Nationals in Louisville. We plan to breed her to our new Jr. herd sire - Trademark.

2022: Zamara kidded with 2 does and a buck out of Trademark. Both does will be retained. In typical fashion, Zamara kidded and started to milk... a lot. She peaked this year at 22+#/day and is on track for a second 4000# lactation while traveling over 6000 miles. She became an even more special goat to us this summer though when she was named National Champion and Best Udder at Nationals in Harrisburg PA. She made the trip like a pro and really shined on Show Day. She followed that up earning the high 305 milk & butterfat awards and then finished the week by being named Alpine Total Performer. A day filled with special memories for us! After that trip, we let her take some time off and only took her to the state fairs at the end of show season. She finished with a show record of 9x Best of Breed, 10x Best Udder of Breed, 8x Best Doe In Show, and 6x Best Udder in Show. We also got to see her first daughter, Tirza, freshen and really like her. We will be AIing Zamara to Accolade again in the hopes of getting a Tirza duplicate.
